During our recent family trip, we stayed at the River Hotel, which turned out to be an ideal base. Located a short 10-minute walk from the bustling Oxford city centre, it made our explorations easy and enjoyable, especially with a theatre visit on the agenda. Each morning, we strolled along the towpath, soaking in the scenery-a delightful alternative to the usual routes. The hotel itself offered a family room on the ground floor, which was convenient given our luggage. Although the room was snug, it served our needs well. Breakfast was a treat, with a good selection to start our day, including my long-awaited vegemite on toast! The staff were welcoming and provided useful local information, enhancing our stay. The lounging area was a cozy spot for late afternoons. All in all, the River Hotel complemented our family vacation perfectly, and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
